The Journal of Strategic Economic Research adheres to the principles of open science and provides full open access to all published materials. All articles in the journal are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 license, which ensures full open access to scholarly content. The journal operates under the Gold Open Access model, according to which the full texts of all articles are freely available for reading, downloading, copying, distribution, or other use, provided that the original source is properly cited.
Free access to the journal’s materials is ensured through the Article Processing Charge (APC), which may be paid by the author, the author’s institution, or a third-party funding the research.
The journal follows the recommendations of the Fair Open Access Alliance regarding a transparent fee structure.
The Journal of Strategic Economic Research does not charge any submission or peer review fees. The Article Processing Charge (APC) is used exclusively to cover expenses related to editorial preparation, technical support, and publication production, including editorial and technical processing of manuscripts, layout design, DOI assignment, maintenance of the journal’s website, and archiving of materials.
Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts undergo independent peer review, and decisions on publication are made solely on the basis of scientific quality and relevance to the journal’s thematic profile.
The cost of printing one A4 page is UAH 100. The cost of one printed copy is UAH 500.
The editorial board accepts for free publication individual articles (without co-authors) by third-level higher education students enrolled in state-funded programs (regardless of the higher education institution), provided that the articles comply with the established requirements and principles of academic integrity. Along with the article, third-level higher education applicants (postgraduate students) enrolled in state-funded programs must submit a certificate from the postgraduate department confirming their enrolment. The certificate must be signed by the head of the postgraduate department and bear that department’s seal.
Payment of the Article Processing Charge (APC) is made only after the article has been accepted for publication.
Payment details are sent to the author after a positive decision on the publication of the article.
After payment, a copy of the payment receipt must be sent to the editorial office at econ-vistnyk@knutd.com.ua.

The article processing charge covers the following costs:
- editing of the manuscript text;
- stylistic and grammatical proofreading of the manuscript;
- article layout;
- processing of figures and typesetting of text in charts;
- adjustment of bibliographic references in accordance with APA style;
- assignment of a DOI to the manuscript.
Refund Policy
Refunds are possible only in cases of substantial circumstances that make publication of the article impossible after the completion of the editorial process. The fee is non-refundable in the event of article withdrawal by the authors, retraction or correction of the article by the editorial office, force majeure circumstances, or other cases beyond the control of the editorial office.
