Formatting Guidelines

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Strategic Economic Research (hereinafter referred to as the Journal) accepts for consideration scientific articles by authors based on research findings and scientific and technical developments. Submitted articles are reviewed by the Editorial Board of the Journal and, upon receiving a positive review, are accepted for publication.

To ensure a uniform standard for manuscript submission, authors must comply with the requirements set out below when preparing their manuscripts. The editorial office reserves the right to return materials to authors for revision if they do not comply with the established rules.

The Journal accepts for consideration and publication original articles of the following types:

  • Empirical/theoretical article – an article generally structured according to the IMRAD format, presenting qualitative and quantitative results of the authors’ own research, including quantitative data, analysis of regulatory and statistical materials, authorial calculations and developed methodologies, or recommendations that make it possible to assess a particular economic phenomenon, propose a new approach to problems in the field of economic research and business, etc. Articles of this type must contain an original interpretation of the analysed data.
  • Review article – an article whose structure depends on its content and in which, based on an analysis of scholarly literature, new theoretical provisions are developed and proposed, contributing to the advancement of economic, managerial, and marketing theories. Articles of this type may present original theories, clarifications, additions to, and criticism of existing theoretical constructs and concepts, as well as comparisons of different theories and scholarly viewpoints.

Tables, figures, graphs, and formulas:

  • must be numbered and placed after their first mention in the text (notes are placed directly below the table/figure/graph). All abbreviations must be explained at their first mention in the text;
  • formulas must be created using Equation Editor; variables of mathematical quantities in the text, in accordance with the formulas, should be italicized;
  • figures and graphs must be centred; text wrapping around images is not allowed;
  • all physical quantities must be given in accordance with the International System of Units (SI). A space must be inserted between units of measurement, symbols, and the numbers to which they refer.

The following information about the authors must be provided:

  • first name and last name;
  • academic degree and position of each author;
  • structural units of the institution where the authors work;
  • full official names and legal addresses of the authors’ institutions;
  • contact email addresses;
  • ORCID.

Terms of Publication

The Journal of Strategic Economic Research accepts original articles in the fields of economics, management, finance, marketing, trade, tourism, and recreation. Manuscripts in Ukrainian or English (British English) should be sent to econ-vistnyk@knutd.edu.ua.

After submission of the article, changes to the list of authors are not permitted.

A separate file must be attached containing information about the authors (full name, institution, position, e-mail address, ORCID — mandatory). File names must correspond to the surname of the first author. Materials that do not comply with the requirements or that have been translated using automatic tools are not considered.

AUTHOR-TO-PUBLISHER RIGHTS TRANSFER AGREEMENT

All materials published in the Journal of Strategic Economic Research are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) international license.

This license allows others to freely use, distribute, copy, and adapt the materials for any lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given to the author(s) and to the source of the first publication.

Acceptance of the Agreement

The fact of acceptance of the terms of this Agreement (acceptance) is the submission of the manuscript by the author for publication to the editorial office of the journal.
Submission of the material means that the author has fully familiarized himself with the terms of the license, understands their content, and agrees with them without reservations.

Author’s Statement
Submission of the manuscript certifies that the author guarantees that:
1. The material does not violate the copyright or related rights of other persons or organizations.
2. The article has not been previously published in other publications and is not under consideration by other editorial offices.
3. The author bears full responsibility for the authenticity, originality, and scientific integrity of the submitted material.

Author’s rights
The author retains personal non-property and property rights to his work, in particular the right of authorship, the right to the integrity of the work, and the right to further use (reproduction, distribution, distribution in his own collections, etc.), provided that the journal is cited as the source of the first publication.

Publisher’s rights
The author grants the Publisher (Licensee) the right of first publication of his material under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
Within the framework of this license, the Publisher has the right to:
• publish articles in Ukrainian or English and distribute their printed versions;
• translate articles into English (if the original is submitted in Ukrainian) and distribute printed versions of the translation;
• distribute electronic versions of articles and English translations through any electronic means, in particular:
— the official website of the journal;
— electronic databases;
— scientific repositories and other academic resources.

Mandatory reference
In case of quoting, reproduction, or distribution of journal materials, a bibliographical reference to the publication and/or a hyperlink to its electronic copy posted on the official journal website is mandatory.
This ensures proper authorship, academic integrity, and compliance with the requirements of the CC BY license.
